I will travel to your home for your newborn photoshoot, capturing every little detail especially those unique quirks and expressions in a beautiful way, using only natural light as my prop! You just have to sit back, relax, enjoy your coffee and the experience.

When should I schedule my newborn session?

The best time to schedule your newborn photography session is as early in your pregnancy as you can. Sessions are usually booked a few months in advance. If you haven’t booked ahead, drop me a line, I always try to get my a date for you. Once you have scheduled you will be sent detailed information with all you need to know and how to further prepare. It is best to schedule your newborn session between 5 – 10 days old, but older newborns are perfect too. Because the birth date is not always predictable your due date will be used as a temporary reservation. Once your little bundle arrives, contact me as soon as you can to schedule a set date.

How do I prepare for my newborn’s session?

It is best to try schedule newborn sessions mid morning when they will be sleepier. If at all possible try to keep your newborn stimulated a few hours prior, to ensure a sleepier session, not always easy to do but it will greatly benefit your session, the sleepier your newborn the easier your shoot will be! If you could nurse or feed your baby about 30 minutes prior to your session so they are nice and full too. Remember these sessions can be a little longer so patience is key in order to get the best photographs. Keep in mind, during most of the newborn sessions they will have very little clothes on, so it is usually best if you can have the heating on so baby can sleep soundly and comfortably.

What should I expect during the session?

Your session will usually be between 1-2 hours, giving time to perfect placement of those tiny hands and toes etc. This will leave plenty of time for feeding, changing set-ups, and baby falling back asleep.
